Biblical Zionism is despised by the Left – especially the evangelical left.  To the secular Israel’s claim to the land and its “management” is a matter of “right and wrong” – but to the Christian or Israeli “Biblical Zionist” believer, it’s a matter of absolute truth – “Who’s on God’s side!” The religious “Battle for the Bible” is being waged between those who reject Israel as a fulfillment of Bible prophecy (the “promise” being in Christ alone or some such theological construct) and them who see in her ingathering to the Land of the Prophets a harbinger of the Second Coming of Christ or, at least, the preparation for Messiah’s coming.  Alas!  A phalanx of allied interests, whose despite toward Israel’s peculiarity reverberates in ever-increasing public rhetoric, now unites Catholic, Protestant, Evangelicals, Orthodox, atheists, and agnostics with political liberals and die-hard liberation theology adherents juxtaposed to unabashed Christian Zionists and Jewish-Israeli Biblical Zionists.

We’ll touch on the political Left and the rational in their irritation and strident abhorrence toward Israel’s persistence to declare her right to their ancient homeland…but it’s the Lefties among the religious who shall receive the acid of this missive, the rapier to the heart of their anger toward the “apple of His eye.”  What absurdity and evil intent lurks – especially among the more allegedly biblically-based proponents who claim love for Zion, but who are rabidly incensed toward those they claim are the Christian Zionists who are in league with the political Right and ipso facto espouse an agenda wholly embraced by the Antichrist and propagated by the False Prophet whose breath they inhale to become the very Image of the Beast!

Listen, this writer has no truck with Dominionists, militant Christianity and the host of the “just war” crowd on the Right – but today’s outburst on the Left whereby a growing number of activists (both Left and Right) desire to “take the kingdom by force.”  Common cause between the two advances but it is the Left whose intrusion into the normally pro-Israel evangelical community that grows increasingly more vocal.  Lenin-Mao-Stalin – Hitler-Mussolini-Tojo – take whatever trident of the devil you wish, but know this, whoever among the extreme (and it will be EXTREME) Left or Right you chose, I can readily assure you both sides have the full potential to put a hammer lock on Israel . . . .

If you will kindly notice the obvious here – it is not the Religious Right, and most assuredly not the detestable conceits of the Christian Zionists so accused, who wish to put a harness on the Israeli stallion – to the contrary, it is the Political Left and the Religious Lefties who abhor the death-squad efforts of the Israelis and their hideous treatment of the anti-Zionist flotillas setting sail from Turkey and Cyprus to Gaza, to relieve the victims of Israeli aggression.  So – as the nudity of the king passes us by – isn’t it apparent he has no clothes on…so, who do you think will ENFORCE the Defense Pact upon Israel?  Answer:  The mandatory two-state solution crowd (especially the spiritually-motivated Evangelical Left and, in particular, the likes of those who so slavishly embrace Liberation Theology – “setting the prisoners free” – i.e., those especially behind the infamous WALL built by the Israelis) is, my dear Evangelical Liberation Theology Lefty, the accomplice to the pending crime of the ages.  If the Right is identified as Nazism/Neo-Nazi, apartheid and now, Zionism – then shall it be the Right who imposes upon Israel the Treaty or is it the Left with all her nobility and justice for all?

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling to ALL THE SURROUNDING PEOPLES, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem … I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for ALL PEOPLES; ALL who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though ALL NATIONS of the earth are gathered against it . . . it shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy ALL THE NATIONS that come against Jerusalem” (Zechariah 12:2-9 excerpts).

The last article we published dealt with confusion some readers have with the teachings of S.R. Shearer, who we used to work with.  Our only plea was “We welcome debate and trust Steve Shearer will stick to the issues rather than resorting to personal attacks.”   Sadly, instead of sticking to issues, he resorted to a 30 page personal attack on Doug Krieger and me – highlighted in red so it is easy to see.  He brought up wives, children, past associations, employment – all personal items in an attempt to cast aspersions us.  I don’t know about you all, but no one has to tell me I am fallen and unworthy.  My only plea is the blood of Jesus to make me whiter than snow and His Holy Spirit to transform me day by day. 

The big difference between the two ministries is we don’t presume to know God’s will for you.  We don’t tell you how to think or what to do.  We present information and let you take it before the Lord and separate the meat from the bones.  The other major difference is that we don’t accept money – never have and never will. 

Now, quickly returning to a couple of issues he raised.  Both Doug and I believe that the rapture occurs at the end of the seventieth week of Daniel at the last trumpet just before the judgment of the earth.  Anyone familiar with our writings on the internet will know this is true.  That said, at one time we both believed in the pre-tribulation rapture but through revelation and study of the Word we were convinced otherwise.  Does it matter?  Yes, to a certain extent but it will become obvious as time goes on.  But, we have many dear friends such as Bill and Jackie Alnor, Jack Hook and others who don’t agree with us.  Are we going to cut them off?  Of course not.  Where is the grace for others?

The other issue is we are accused of not recognizing “the physicality of Babylon”.  Again, I don’t know if Steve has ever read any of our articles but we are quite clear on America being prophetic Babylon.  In fact, I wrote a whole book on it titled “In Search of Babylon.”  Doug’s books, “The Rise or Fall of American Empire” and books on the False Prophet and the Antichrist, are hardly mealy mouthed compromising works.  Nor do we discount the role of America in prophecy but deal with it in tremendous depth.  There are two things to be said about America as Babylon.  First, there is no doubt as we say again and again that America is prophetic Babylon: apostate Christian (Revelation 17), the great economic power and consumer nation (Revelation 18) and the main political/military power on earth (Revelation 19), as well as Israel’s only friend with the power to enforce a defense treaty (Daniel 9:27).  “In Search of Babylon” clearly exposes America’s economic and military empire.  Second, yes, America is evil but it is naive to think any other nation is less evil for “the whole earth lies under the sway in the evil one.”  (I John 5:19)  Our position is that you can’t escape from Babylon but Christians are called to stand and deliver in the midst of the evil.   It is simplistic to assume one can hop across the border to Canada or Mexico, set up shop and everything will be okay.  The global reach of America we all talk about and the police state Steve talks about in this article will render escape impossible.  No, at the end of the day we will rise or fall based upon our relationship with the Lord and other saints.

Steve concludes, “But those prisses and wimps like Dene McGriff, Doug Krieger, Gloria Cooper and Bob Mertes who remain in Babylon after failing to obey God's command to COME OUT will have little or nothing to do with this testimony.”  Again, I dealt with the issues in my last article.  The reason this is not just another trivial doctrine but a tremendous guilt trip Steve puts on his readers, is that he believes that any Christian who fails to leave America before its judgment is doomed along with unbelievers.  How presumptuous of Steve to dare to think he knows the will of God for every Christian in America!

Wow!  Another article just came out.  This one accusing a mutual friend, Loel and me of being involved in Ponzi schemes.  Again, network marketing, especially the one Loel is in is legitimate and a way of selling quality products.  I haven’t done any network marketing for over ten years… but again, when you don’t have a job, it’s better than starving.  To say that everyone who is involved in MLM is greedy makes no sense. 

We welcome intelligent debate but trust you can make your point without resorting to personal attacks and name calling.
